Inspired by her passion and entrepreneurial spirit, we spoke to GLASS GLOSS founder and creative visionary Marni René about her journey to launching her brand. Founded in 2018, with her love for beauty and cosmetics “the idea of making vegan lip gloss came from me wanting my lip gloss and lipstick to be vegan, as I live a vegan lifestyle,” said Marni.
The brand’s inspiration came from Marni’s childhood when she loved watching her “mother and aunts get fancy and pretty”. Coupled with her dream of owning her own business, she made her vision come to life. The brand was named after the first clear lip gloss that she created which was “super clear and glossy, it looked like liquid glass”.

Marni created GLASS GLOSS for those who share her values of living a “vegan lifestyle or who love a quality certified cruelty-free vegan lip product, women of all ages, nationalities, and cultures who use pigmented and non-pigmented lip cosmetics, and men who love a great clear moisturising balm”.
